Vomitory @ La Machine du Moulin Rouge, Paris - April 29th, 2026

If you're seeing a band called Vomitory, chances are slim that it's playing jazz fusion or country blues. Formed in the late 80's in Sweden, the band summons the sounds, sights and smells of old school death metal. They're not pushing the genre forward, but that's not what this is about: it's about delivering a prototypical death metal experience, transporting the audience back to the early nineties, before the genre splintered into several sub-genres, before it infused all of the other styles of metal and before it seeped into the mainstream. It's raw, it's primitive, it's aggressive and it's a lot of fun. The genre has evolved and reached new heights in virtuosity, brutality, and popularity, but it comes to genuine vintage death metal, these guys are the real deal.
