Twenty minutes is a short time to make an impression. As the first of two opening acts on the bill, Dylan Triplett had the arduous task of opening the evening with his bluesy, traditionalist take on soul music. Armed with a supple voice and a cracking band, Triplett even managed to suspend time in a sublime a capella version of the classic "A Change Is Gonna Come" before walking offstage having done exactly what an opener should do: set the tone, raised the bar and leave the crowd eager for everything that would follow.
