Christone “Kingfish” Ingram was barely out of his teens when his self-titled debut album landed in 2019, immediately marking him as the next major voice in blues guitar. Six years on, he’s made good on that promise, his follow-up records proving he’s got both the fire and the soul to back up the hype.
He’s no flashy pentatonic showman chasing clicks; he’s the real deal, straight out of Clarksdale, Mississippi, one of the true birthplaces of the blues. His new album Hard Road arrives in September, followed by a European tour this fall that brings him to La Cigale, Paris, on November 11.
