Bob Dylan - Chronicles (vol. 1)

The 2016 Nobel Prize Laureate for literature's Chronicles (vol. 1) is a fascinating insight into the man's process and influences, full of great anecdotes and populated by colorful characters who happen to be some of the greatest musicians of our time. So, Bobby, volume 2 coming out any time soon?

In the Court of the Crimson King - King Crimson at 50

A fantastic documentary about the band King Crimson and its curmudgeonly leader Robert Fripp. Funny, tragic, cringey, and musically exhilarating, ItCotCK has one thing that other music docs don't: yours truly! That's right, you can spot this blog's author in some of the concert footage featured in the film. If that doesn't make you want to buy the movie, I don't know what will!

HEAVY TRIP

The Finnish road movie Heavy Trip is a Heavy Metal comedy centered on the hilariously over-the-top exploits of Impaled Rektum—a symphonic, post-apocalyptic, reindeer-grinding, Christ-abusing, extreme war pagan Fennoscandian metal band (yes, that's their actual description).

Featuring some light-hearted grave robbing, Viking cosplayers, a rogue border patrol, a sleazy lounge singer, an escaped asylum drummer, and a healthy dose of projectile vomiting, this movie has all the essential ingredients for a heartwarming family comedy.
