Formed in Cambridge, New Zealand at the turn of the century, The Datsuns emerged during the garage rock revival with a sound that combined the raw energy of seventies hard rock, proto metal and garage rock. Their self titled debut album The Datsuns arrived in 2002 and quickly established the band as one of the most exciting acts of the era, thanks to tracks such as "Harmonic Generator", "Motherfucker From Hell" and "Lady". Their most recent studio album, Eye to Eye, was released in 2021.
Renowned for their high energy live performances, The Datsuns remain one of the most dependable rock bands to emerge from the early 2000s revival scene, delivering the same no nonsense that have defined them for a quarter century.
