Devin Townsend will return to Paris on September 22nd, 2026, and this time it is officially billed as a solo tour.
Announced this week as the Metamorphosis European solo tour, the run marks Townsend’s return to the stage following the touring hiatus he announced last year. The format is being presented as a stripped back, solo performance built around songs from across his catalog, from Strapping Young Lad to Devin Townsend Project, alongside material from his upcoming album The Moth, due out on May 29th. Townsend has also said the shows will include storytelling and “a few bizarre surprises along the way.”
Across the past three decades, Townsend has built one of metal’s most eclectic discographies, moving between extreme metal, progressive rock, ambient music and large scale conceptual releases such as Ocean Machine: Biomech, Terria, Empath and Lightwork.
He will perform at Le Bataclan on September 22nd, 2026.
