D-A-D @ Le Forum, Vauréal - January 22nd, 2026

Danish cult hard rock heroes Disneyland After Dark are four decades into an impeccable rock n’ roll career, and if they never quite broke through to full scale international stardom, it certainly was not for lack of quality material or commitment. Last night in Vauréal, they delivered exactly what their reputation promises, a hard rocking set that mixed new material from their latest album Speed of Darkness with long time favourites like opener "Jihad" and "Girl Nation," all played with the same drive, humour and self awareness that have defined the band for longer than most of us care to remember.

Jesper Binzer’s voice still carries that rough edged tone reminiscent of Bon Scott, while his brother Jacob (guitar, hat) fires his hard driving riffs and solos with a deadpan, Nordic sense of humor. Stig Pedersen remains a visual focal point, his custom basses and stage outfits as much part of the show as the songs themselves. Behind it all, drummer Laust Sonne provides the solid backbone, locking everything in place. Four decades on, D-A-D continue to sound like a group that never forgot why they started playing rock n’ roll in the first place.
