La Femme @ Accor Arena, Paris - November 26th, 2025

What reason could there be for a still relatively young band like La Femme to announce a farewell show,  when the group remains successful and its members are still in performing shape? If core members Sacha Got and Marlon Magnée want to explore solo projects, nothing prevents them from doing so without closing the book entirely. And if they no longer tolerate each other, they can always take a lesson from The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Oasis, Mötley Crüe or Hall and Oates and travel in separate planes, meeting only when the lights go up...

Whatever lies behind the decision, this concert at Accor Arena was presented as La Femme’s ultimate show. Whether that holds or not is impossible to predict, yet they approached the night as a true finale and delivered a celebration worthy of the claim. After two short sets by openers Sam Quealy and Tentative, La Femme took the stage to thundering applause under an avalanche of strobe lights and dried ice.

2025's Rock Machine featured heavily in the setlist, but the band packed the evening with their hits and fan favourites, even bringing former vocalist Clara Luciani, now a star in her own right, for a charged rendition of "It’s Time To Wake Up." "La Femme," "La Femme Ressort," "Antitaxi," "Goodbye Tonight" and the rest of their defining tracks drew an almost feral enthusiasm from a full Accor Arena that had come to bid adieu to one of the most defining French bands of its era. With fans dancing and singing from the very first note of "My Generation" to the last guitar lick of their ultimate mission statement "I Believe In Rock N' Roll," and aided by a breathtaking light show and video projections, this was the party most bands to get to throw themselves.

Not a funeral but a celebration, this last show was the perfect send-off. See you in five years for the reunion tour?
