Todd Rundgren finally returns to Paris!

It has been a very long time coming. Todd Rundgren has announced his return to the City of Lights next September, marking his first concert in the French capital since 2008. While Rundgren has continued to tour extensively throughout North America and the UK, Paris appearances have become a genuine rarity.

One of the most versatile figures to emerge from the American rock scene of the seventies, Rundgren first found success with Nazz before launching a solo career that produced landmark albums such as Something/Anything?A Wizard, A True Star and Hermit of Mink Hollow. Alongside his work as a performer, he also established himself as one of rock's most influential producers, overseeing classic albums by artists including New York Dolls, Sparks, Meat LoafPatti Smith or XTC.

Across more than five decades, Rundgren has moved effortlessly between power pop, progressive rock, soul, new wave and experimental music, generating enduring songs such as "Hello It's Me", "I Saw the Light", "Can We Still Be Friends?" and "Bang the Drum All Day".

The September tour is being promoted as the Damned If I Do tour and is expected to draw from every era of his catalog. For Paris fans who have waited years for another opportunity, this is a particularly welcome return.
