After an infamous public breakdown in the aftermath of an unfortunate onstage incident in which Perry Farrell assaulted Dave Navarro, Jane's Addiction imploded in a cloud of resentment, lawsuits and probable substance abuse.
Now the band has shared a cryptic and somewhat diplomatic appeasement message in which they said they have gotten together one last time to honor the band's legacy and its fans.
They explicitly mention that they will be going their separate ways musically, and the reunion seems to be on the legal and business level only. Essentially, this just means they have realized that these costly lawsuits were a stain on the band's legacy and its members' reputations and they were all better off dropping them, with complete disregard for the poor lawyers who were counting on them ahead of the holiday season.
