David Coverdale has finally announced what we had all guessed for a while... The fact that he is now retired. You can watch his parting message in the embedded YouTube player below.
Coverdale had embarked on a farewell tour with Whitesnake until health issues caught up with him and forced the cancellation of most of the dates.
For years there had been speculation and rumors about a possible continuation for the tour and give one of hard rock's most famous voices a proper send-off. Closure.
But it seems he has accepted that his time in the spotlight has come to an end and he's decided to bow out gracefully after a lifetime of living in the shadows of the blues.
