Rufus Wainwright to return to Paris next year

Over the past three decades, Rufus Wainwright has established himself as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary songwriting, moving between pop, chamber music, opera, and cabaret with equal conviction. From his 1998 debut to ambitious stage works and orchestral collaborations, his catalogue reflects both classical training and sharp melodic craft. In late 2025 he released  I’m a Stranger Here Myself – Wainwright Does Weill, revisiting the repertoire of Kurt Weill with The Pacific Jazz Orchestra. Together, these projects underline the range that continues to define his work.

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, Wainwright returns to Paris for a solo acoustic evening at Le Trianon, performing with voice and either piano or guitar. The stripped back format places the focus squarely on songwriting and interpretation, offering a closer perspective on both new material and established favourites.
