Rumors had been swirling for the past ten days, and it turns out they were mostly correct. Four years after the release of their latest album Power Up, AC/DC has announced their European trek, the first one since the end of the Rock Or Bust tour back in 2016, when Axl Rose had to step in for an ailing Brian. Check out the official announcement below!
This ushers in a completely new era for the band, with a brand new line-up: Cliff Williams, who had announced his retirement from the road eight years ago, will be replaced by Chris Chaney, formerly of Jane's Addiction and Alan's Morrissette's band. Matt Laug, who played with them on the PowerTrip festival last year, will be the drummer. With a completely rejuvenated personnel, and Brian's hearing problems seemingly solved, does this mean we can expect the band to carry on for another 15 years or so? Let's hope so...
Tickets for the Paris show on August 13th at the Hippodrome de Longchamp will be available on February 16th at 10:00 local. We will update this post with a link as soon as possible.
Welcome back boys!
