Something a little different for this Friday’s playlist. We’re going back to the twenties, gathering tunes from an age of optimism and excess. No deep blues or dixieland jazz here, but plenty of ragtime bounce, music hall charm, and early pop sparkle. Some are classics you’ll recognize instantly, others are forgotten gems from a world still dazzled by its newfound prosperity. Think of it as the soundtrack to your own Great Gatsby soirée, when prosperity seemed endless, cocktails flowed freely, and Louise Brooks-style haircuts were the height of rebellion and allure.
