Our first playlist of 2024 sees us exploring a fun little topic: impending death. Because what's more universal than that? So, yeah, this isn't the best party mix. If you're looking for, light, upbeat, fun songs then there are other playlists in our archives that are better suited to your needs.
This is a playlist about artists who recorded their album with the knowledge that they were at the end of their life. In a lot of cases, the songs were performed after a terminal diagnosis. This makes for a very poignant listen, although in some (very) rare cases the mood is somewhat celebratory.
