This Friday’s playlist is called Electric Eye. Well, would you look at that, it's also the name of the site! Isn't that a precious coincidence? This edition turns its gaze toward images of every kind. Cameras, photographs, screens, lenses, video memories captured, distorted or reinvented. Each track circles around the idea of looking, remembering or framing a moment. Some dive into visions of dystopian societies where citizen surveillance has spun completely out of control... You know, science fiction... A few selections stretch the theme a touch, simply because we love them too much to cut them, but hopefully the whole thing remains coherent and and flows seamlessly from one genre to another.
