Cage The Elephant @ U Arena, Nanterre - October 19th 2017

Is there a more thankless task than opening for The Rolling Stones? It doesn't matter how good you are (and Cage The Elephant are pretty damn good) you're always going to be just a nuisance delaying the arrival of the legends.

Despite all the singer's efforts to fill the stage and despite a bunch of great songs ("Cold, Cold, Cold" is a perfect garage rock tune) you just can't win. It probably didn't help that the median age of the crowd was somewhere near the three digits...
