Alternative rock supergroup Drink The Sea have announced the release of their third album, Drink The Sea III, due out on October 2nd, 2026. The record arrives one year after the release of the band's ambitious debut pair, Drink The Sea I and Drink The Sea II, which were issued simultaneously in 2025 as a 22 song double album.
Formed by guitarist Peter Buck (R.E.M.), drummer Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, Mad Season), guitarist and multi instrumentalist Alain Johannes (Eleven, Queens of the Stone Age), singer, guitarist and songwriter Duke Garwood, bassist Abbey Blackwell and percussionist Lisette Garcia, Drink The Sea brings together musicians whose collective résumés span several decades of rock history.
Their music draws from rock, jazz, folk, psychedelic and world music influences, creating a sound that is atmospheric, exploratory and difficult to pin down to a single genre.
To support the new album, the band will embark on their second world tour, following their inaugural run of shows throughout 2025 and 2026. The upcoming dates will feature material from all three Drink The Sea albums, alongside a few selections connected to the members' previous bands and projects.
