Tremonti @ Alhambra, Paris - February 16th, 2025

Tremonti leveled the Alhambra on February 16 with a set that stripped away any pretense and went straight for the throat. No alt-rock polish, no competing frontmen—just Mark Tremonti at full tilt, leading a band built for impact. The riffs were sharp and relentless, cutting through a post-Pantera groove that stayed locked in without dragging. He and Eric Friedman worked as a unit, each solo pushing the other without veering into excess. The set leaned on The End Will Show Us How, but nothing felt obligatory—new tracks landed with the same weight as older staples, the crowd locked in and giving back just as much as they took.

Tremonti’s vocals, no longer sitting in anyone’s shadow, carried as much intent as his guitar playing. The band’s signature dark harmonies added depth without overloading the mix, steering clear of the overblown tendencies of "bro-metal" contemporaries. The weight of the music never dulled its momentum—everything moved with precision, keeping the energy direct and unforced. The best moments came when the guitars played off each other, not in a duel but as parts of a machine, trading sharp, measured solos that kept the set tight from start to finish.

Tremonti has long proven that heaviness and precision aren’t mutually exclusive, and this set was another case in point. No frills, no wasted motion—just a band locked in, delivering with force and efficiency.
