Hailing from Queens, NY, Lil2Hood AKA Fla$h opened the night with a DJ set that refused to sit still. She kicked off with current Hip-Hop bangers, swerved into early 2000s EDM nostalgia with Fatboy Slim and Benny Benassi, and wrapped it up with chaotic remixes of Nirvana, Drowning Pool and Rage Against The Machine.
Musically, it slapped hard. But watching a DJ spin tracks isn’t the most electrifying live experience, at least not in a venue setting. Maybe in a club, under the influence of the right concoction, it would feel more immersive. But what do we know? The audience went absolutely nuts, and in the end, it's all that truly matters.
