The Country Music Television annual award show will air on Sunday at 8 PM Easter Time (midnight in Greenwich Mean Time) and will feature a tribute to Gary Rossington of Lynyrd Skynyrd, who passed away earlier this month.
Paul Rodgers and Cody Johnson on vocals will be accompanied by Slash, Billy Gibbons and Warren Haynes on guitar, Chuck Leavell on keyboard and LeAnn Rimes and Wynonna Judd on backing vocals to perform a set of Lynyrd Skynyrd classics in tribute to the guitarist, who at the time of his death was the last remaining member of the original line-up. The ceremony will be attended by some of his Skynyrd bandmates including longtime vocalist Johnny Van Zany and guitarist Rick Medlocke.
Among the myriad of artists who will also be performing at the show are Southern Rock superstars The Black Crowes. The show will air on CBS and will be streamable on Paramount +.
