Slash has been telling us for months that the next Conspirators album was finished and waiting in the wings; now it finally has a name and a release date. Flying Blind, the fifth studio album from Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, arrives February 26, 2027 through Gibson Records, with the title track out now as its first single. Back in February, Slash revealed that the record had already been mixed and sequenced, but explained that its release would have to wait until the current Guns N' Roses tour was over.
The follow-up to 2022's 4 reunites Slash, Kennedy, Todd Kerns, Brent Fitz and Frank Sidoris with longtime producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette. The 12-song album was recorded largely live at Studio Barbarosa in Florida, with the band completing most of it in around a week, frequently cutting two songs a day together in the same room. Slash describes the result as a spontaneous, raw rock 'n' roll record, while the newly released "Flying Blind" itself was written almost on the spot during pre-production.
A substantial Flying Blind World Tour will follow, beginning in Latin America in April before reaching Europe in June and July. Unfortunately, despite a healthy run of European dates, Paris is conspicuously absent from the itinerary announced so far. There are still plenty of gaps to fill, so we'll refrain from taking it personally just yet.
