Listen to the Beatles' "Now and Then" here.

The surviving Beatles, along with the estates of John and George, have just released "Now And Then". This tune was written by John, then later worked on by the three remaining members George, Paul and Ringo during the "Anthology" years, and finalized by the last two survivors Paul and Ringo. Much case has been made of the fact that they used AI technology to isolate and clean up John's vocals... The technical aspect really doesn't matter. What matters is that, despite it originally being a John solo song (like Free As A Bird), this is the "final" song by the greatest, most influential band of all time, and as such it's a historic release. Whether the song lives up to the hype, whether it's up to their past standard, whether it lives up to the band's canon, all that is irrelevant. It's a poignant bookend to their career, fifty three years after their break-up.
